The black dot crossing Jupiter is the shadow of it’s moon Io. Io is barely visible crossing the face ahead of the shadow. Click for animation.

Love this! What kind of equipment are you using?
I use a Skywatcher ED80 and an EQ5 Mount. The nebulas are taken with my 5DmkII and the Jupiter with a 7D. The narrowband nebulas in the post below this are taken with an Atik 314L+.
